How are commission and discounts calculated?
Approved creators earn 10% of the eligible product amount actually paid after discounts. Taxes, shipping, duties, gift cards and refunded amounts do not earn commission. The standard Canadian offer gives shoppers 5% off full-price products on vaer.ca, with C$9 CAD shipping to Canada at any basket value. Canadian creator codes cannot combine with free shipping, sale pricing or other offers. Without a creator code, Canadian shipping is free at C$125 CAD. On vaer.shop, the audience discount remains 10% and the existing USD shipping policy applies. There is no fee to apply.
Canadian example: three C$36 CAD tees become C$102.60 CAD with the standard 5% code, plus C$9 CAD Canadian shipping, for C$111.60 CAD before tax. Creator commission is C$10.26 CAD before any agreed payout-currency conversion. These Canadian terms apply to new creator agreements from 25 October 2026; existing written agreements and previously earned commissions are honoured until any prospective change is communicated and agreed.
USD example: a $42 USD tee becomes $37.80 with the code. The creator earns $3.78 on that eligible product sale. Shipping and tax, if applicable, are separate.
How is an order credited to a creator?
The shopper enters one approved creator code in the order request before paying. VAER checks the active code, confirms the discount in the payment email and records the referral against the paid order. Both new and returning customer orders can qualify. Unpaid requests, self-referrals, cancelled orders and fraudulent orders do not qualify. Partial refunds reduce commission proportionately; full refunds or chargebacks remove it.
This is a code-based program with manual verification, not cookie-based link tracking. A visit or link click alone does not earn commission, and codes cannot be added after payment. There is no automatic dashboard or payout system on this site.
When and how will I be paid?
Commission is held until 30 days after the order is delivered, then reviewed for cancellations, refunds and disputes. Approved balances of at least $25 USD at month-end are paid by the 15th of the following month via PayPal in USD, or another method agreed in writing. Smaller balances roll forward. If a payment date is not a business day, payment is made on the next business day.
VAER sends a monthly summary of credited orders, adjustments and the balance to approved creators. A reversed sale is deducted before payment, or from a later balance if already paid. Any outstanding eligible balance is settled when participation ends, even if below $25, after the delivery hold and final review. Payout setup is agreed after approval; do not send financial details with your application.
What should I know before promoting?
Wait for written approval and code activation. Use approved artwork and accurate product information, and clearly identify sponsored or affiliate content to your audience. Do not place VAER-branded paid search ads, post codes to coupon sites, send unsolicited bulk messages or make misleading claims. Gifting and paid content are separate arrangements, not automatic program benefits.
Prospective program changes are communicated to approved creators before taking effect. Eligible commissions already earned are handled under the terms in force for those orders. Questions or discrepancies can be raised with vaer.support@gmail.com.
